Ben and Jessa Seewald

Jessa and Ben married today, happily they bucked tradition and did things their way. Jessa wore a beautiful gown that was blush in color. The bodice although modest was stylish , no major alterations was done to distort the designers creation. Ben's suit was not my taste but it showed his personality.

They chose to write their own vows to eachother, instead of saying the generic vows most people use. My husband and I used the generic vows 23 years ago, if we do a vow renewel on our silver anniversary I plan to write my own vows.

Ben and Jessa chose to have their first kiss in private. Good for them! It was the first time they were allowed to be alone and didn't want to have a crowd of people witness their first intimate moment. Most couples have their first kiss in private and not in front of 1000 people.

They chose not to have a wedding cake but ice cream sundaes instead. Why not? It was their wedding.

I am not sure if they did a similar marriage license as Jill and Derick though. Honestly nobody goes into a marriage knowing they might eventually get divorced.

Although I don't agree with their lifestyle I wish them happiness.
