Proper grammar

I have several Pet Peeves but the biggest is how many people use "an" when they should use "and". Perhaps they are in a hurry, it's an online thing or maybe it's a failure of the education system, I really don't know. I realize I am the last person who should correct someone's spelling or proper use of words because English was my worst subject in school.

  I was reading at a college level at the age of 14, but using words properly and spelling were always my weak point. Still is! Thank goodness for spell check to correct me at times.

"And" and "an" have different meanings or usage. To be grammatically correct isn't always important but when it is done consistantly I see it as a failure of education.

The misuse of to, two and too is more acceptable to me. Two is the number "2".
"Too" is another way to say also...ie. " Rocky is coming to the two o'clock show too. " All three were used correctly.

But when I see .."Rocky an Alice are expecting puppies",  I cringe.  How hard is it to add a "d" and write "Rocky and Alice.....?"

I guess it irritates me because I see it alot online and on my facebook. Most of the people doing it know better. I said most!
