I can't imagine being in a relationship that every aspect was monitored and chaperoned. Jill was introduced to Derick by her dad. They began to text and Skype with every word being scrutinized by her parents. They decided to court again the budding relationship was monitored allowing a side hug at the beginning and end of each visit. Derick and Jill weren't allowed to go anywhere without a chaperone. They got engaged and progressed from side hug to hand holding. In two days Jill & Derick will experience their " first kiss" when the MINISTER pronounces them Husband and Wife.
After the wedding and reception, Jill will experience physical love with Derick . I do believe her marriage will last because they truly do care for eachother and religion teaches us DIVORCE is WRONG. Even though I think Jill's marriage will be loving some of the others might find themselves with a domineering spouse because they are taught the patriarch of the family is always right. Will some of the girls end up living in a house where Domestic Violence is common and choose to stay in the marriage because DIVORCE IS WRONG? I know people who spent years dating and eventually marry but end up divorced because they seen a side to that person they have never known. Jill will soon learn sex is a small part of marriage and hopefully she will enjoy that part without considering it a duty as Michelle does. Michelle thinks It's natural for a woman to submit when her husband is in the mood regardless of how trying her own day was. Making love can be enjoyable and a beautiful experience. It should never be looked at as a chore. The marital bond is established and passion between the couple should be more than trying to create a new life.
It's kind of ironic early in the show the Duggar family was compared to the Waltons. The Walton kids did date and marry . They experienced the good & the bad of life. They Duggar kids have only known the good and was told about the evil of the world. Their experiences have been limited.
